Get the care you deserve.
"Please keep in mind that no one can love you as much as you do. If you fall in love with yourself first, flaws and all, you will be able to exude beauty, kindness, and love to others. There are too many instances where we expect to find our love in someone else. Look inside yourself for adoration, confidence, and esteem. You owe yourself the love that you so freely give to other people.”

Hello, I'm Dominique Washington, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Certified AASECT Sex Therapist, based in Washington state. I am passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, and I embrace a sex-positive, non-judgmental stance. I am firmly committed to helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of sexuality, mend emotional wounds, nurture intimacy, and facilitate personal growth.
I strongly believe in the transformative power of therapy to initiate positive change and guide individuals through life's complexities. Within my practice, I establish a secure, inclusive, and supportive space for exploration and healing. Utilizing a collaborative approach, I customize therapy to align with the unique needs and aspirations of each client, addressing issues like sexuality, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and personal growth objectives. My commitment is dedicated to fostering and maintaining meaningful, healthy connections, beginning with the fundamental relationship—with oneself. This journey involves promoting self-love, bolstering self-worth, managing mental health, and enriching intimacy, ultimately leading to the cultivation of fulfilling connections that form the basis for improved relationships with others. I derive fulfillment from aiding individuals in the cultivation of healthier, happier, and more empowered lives.
In my role as a sex therapist, I recognize the profound impact of sexuality on our lives and relationships. Whether grappling with issues related to desire, arousal, orgasm, sexual orientation, gender identity, or the complexities of sexual relationships, my goal is to empower you to cultivate a positive and satisfying relationship with your sexuality. I assist you in navigating its intricacies, enhancing communication, and developing skills for meaningful connections.
Taking the courageous step of seeking therapy is a journey towards self-discovery and personal well-being. Regardless of the challenges you face, I am here to support you on your path to healing and growth. Together, we can work towards creating a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Native to Seattle, Washington, I obtained both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Outside of my professional endeavors, I cherish moments spent with loved ones, indulging in spontaneous adventures or travel. Moreover, the serenity of being in and around water holds a special significance for me, providing a peaceful haven to reconnect both mind and body.
“Transitions, big or small, are rarely straightforward. They require abandoning the parts of ourselves that feel safe and familiar. It is a massive task to intentionally choose change over comfort. But it taught me to trust myself more and embrace the shifts.”
